Responsibilities
Ensure continuity of care by conferring with nurses from the prior shift and performing a neuro exam together before they leave. Perform neurological exams and head-to-toe exams, closely monitoring for any status changes. Monitor external ventricular drains, intracranial bolts, or lumbar drains. Monitor blood pressure and notify a physician of any neuro status changes, fluid balance issues, or blood pressure management difficulties. Administer medications as needed. Be a compassionate resource for patients’ families, many of whom are unable to make decisions for themselves. Answer questions and provide vital support. Deliver the best possible care to every patient daily, maintaining their dignity. We are offering a

Associates Degree in Nursing; Bachelors Degree preferred. At least 1 year of RN experience; neurology experience preferred. Registered Nurse license in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
