Overview
Charge Nurse - Neuro Step Down at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. The Neuro Step Down Unit is hiring a nurse Charge (RN) to join their dedicated team of high-performing nurses that provide exceptional patient care within their 29-bed unit. This unit is highly specialized in neurology step-down, caring for patients recovering from neurosurgery or neurological injuries, including psych patients. Joint Commission-Accredited Primary Step-Down. Sign-on and relocation bonuses available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities
Provide high-level nursing care for neuro step-down patients, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure patient safety and quality outcomes. Supervise and support nursing staff on the unit as a Charge Nurse. Utilize EPIC electronic charting system to document and coordinate patient care. Qualifications
Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire. Experience: Minimum one year of nursing experience required. Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required. Academic Preparation: Degree from accredited nursing program; BSN preferred within 5 years of hire. Certifications: ACLS required for certain areas; PALS for Emergency Departments; NRP for NICU-related areas; ACLS, PALS as applicable per unit; Fetal Monitoring for Family Birthing Center; additional requirements based on area of service. Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred. Employment Details
Type: Full Time (0.9 FTE / 36 hours per week) Schedule: 12 Hour Nights Compensation and Benefits
