Under physician supervision, the Nurse Practitioner may assume primary responsibility in their specialty area, following federal, state, and local regulations. Responsible for managing selected at-risk or complex patients and populations in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members. Must demonstrate knowledge, critical thinking, and skills to plan, coordinate, and provide ongoing care. Essential Functions
Provide outpatient urgent care services with 364 days of patient access annually. Act as an agent of the supervising physician for delegated medical services within the scope of practice. Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients' healthcare needs, applying clinical interventions, evaluating outcomes, and adjusting plans accordingly. Communicate changes in patient status effectively. Perform procedures as appropriate. No operating room, practice call, or emergency department call required. Complete thorough, timely documentation per facility policy. Adhere to scope of care regulations under federal, state, and local authorities, and protocols. Refer or transfer patients appropriately. Conduct comprehensive health assessments, recognizing physical, developmental, and psychosocial distress, and provide suitable interventions. Respond to emergencies based on individual patient needs. Order tests, procedures, and therapies in collaboration with the medical team, following organizational policies. Continuously assess patients and update care plans in collaboration with providers. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Requirements
Required:
South Dakota Certifications — Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) by South Dakota Board of Nursing or Physician Assistant (PA) by South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners; Wyoming Certifications — CNP by Wyoming State Board of Nursing or PA by Wyoming Board of Medicine. Preferred:
1+ years of clinical and healthcare experience. Physical Requirements:
Light work exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently. Additional Details
