is seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative and community-focused team. With a long-standing reputation for quality care, the practice serves a diverse caseload of
85% small animal
and
15% livestock and equine , providing an excellent opportunity for a doctor interested in true mixed animal medicine.
Practice Highlights
Established, three-partner owned practice with two associates. Modern 4,500 sq. ft. facility Onsite resources include: One surgical suite One dental suite Radiology/ultrasound suite Three exam rooms plus a dedicated comfort room (also used for acupuncture, laser therapy, and euthanasia services) Large animal treatment area with equine stocks and space for bovine procedures (including C-sections during winter).
Position Details
Schedule: Four-day workweek, no routine weekends. Emergency call rotation shared among the team. On-Call Pay: $1.50/hr standby pay, emergency case bonuses (averaging ~$10K/year in additional income). Caseload: Small animal primary care, surgery, dentistry, and wellness; equine and livestock services split evenly within the large animal portion.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $120,000 for an experienced mixed animal veterinarian. Production Bonus: 23% of production over base (ProSal, no negative accrual). Comprehensive Benefits: 100% paid premiums for health, dental, and vision insurance 3% SIMPLE IRA match after one year Paid licensing, DEA, and controlled substance fees PTO/vacation package (final details to be discussed at interview) Continuing education allowance and paid CE time.
Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 2+ years clinical experience; preference for candidates with 5–7 years or more. Must be comfortable working independently and handling a true mixed animal caseload. Self-motivated, community-oriented, and eager to contribute to a supportive, collaborative environment.
