Overview
Speech Pathologist - FMC at Northern Arizona Healthcare. Relocation and sign-on bonuses available. Location: Flagstaff Medical Center, Flagstaff, AZ. Therapists are part of a multidisciplinary team serving a broad geographic area from Flagstaff to Sedona and the Verde Valley, treating a wide range of diagnoses across diverse populations. Responsibilities
Care Management: supervise supportive personnel, participate in patient team and family conferences, determine follow-up needs, and make post-discharge recommendations. Documentation: document in EMR with a logical data flow; plan and document learning needs; ensure clear communication with patients and families; implement and evaluate treatment plans; assist in discharge planning; revise plans as needed. Education: serve as a resource to peers and other departments; provide mentoring and education opportunities. Patient Care: review patient history prior to evaluation; evaluate and treat patients per applicable policies; assist with discharge planning. Compliance/Safety: report safety incidents, stay current with regulations and policies, maintain required certifications/licenses, complete mandatory training, meet productivity standards, participate in department meetings, respond to orders promptly, and maintain timely documentation and billing procedures. Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree (required). Licensure: Current license in the state of Arizona (required). Certification: BLS (American Heart Association) – required on date of hire; Fingerprint Clearance Card (application and eventual clearance) as required on hire and within 90 days. Experience: Minimum one (1) year in area of specialty (preferred). Technology: Competence with computers and EMR systems; ability to use basic software and electronic devices.
