Overview
Sleep Technologist - Overlake Medical Center (Per-Diem) Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is looking for a per-diem Sleep Technologist to join the team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive adult polysomnographic testing, analysis, patient care and education, and associated interventions. This is a per-diem night shift. In This Position You Will
Gather and analyze patient information: verifies medical order and protocol; complete and verify documentation; orient patient and explain procedures; use excellent judgment in interpreting and clarifying orders; assess risks and intervene appropriately. Calibrate recording equipment and prepare ancillary equipment; apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted standards; fit therapeutic masks; perform physiological calibrations and ensure proper and expected signals; troubleshoot problems independently. Score sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines; score clinical events according to current guidelines; generate an accurate report by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical events; process information post-test; complete shift-end report as needed. Per-diem, 12 hour night shifts from 6:30pm-7am Qualifications
Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. Must obtain and provide management with proof of certification and required CECs to maintain current registered status. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN). Why join Overlake?
