Overview
Job Summary and Responsibilities Join our Inpatient Behavioral Health team. We are seeking compassionate nurses to guide patients and families through recovery, and to contribute to a culture of empathy and excellence on our unit in CHI St. Alexius Health – Bismarck, ND.
Embody humankindness by leading with compassion and connecting with patients and families in challenging times.
Provide holistic nursing care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Manage patient assignments and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, prioritizing patient needs and safety.
Collaborate with physicians, care coordinators, therapists, and management to foster a cohesive healing environment.
Model leadership, mentor colleagues, and participate in ongoing learning to support high-quality care.
Complete job-specific competencies including age-specific care for the patient population served.
Work Agreement
Shift Type: Nights
Shift Length: 12 Hrs
On Call: No
Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other to every 3rd weekend; Every other Holiday
Job Requirements Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Licensure:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota or a compact state upon hire.
Experience:
New grads: comprehensive training and mentorship provided. Experienced L&D RNs: at least two years of recent clinical experience in Labor & Delivery is strongly preferred. Mother/Baby or Postpartum experience also considered.
Certifications:
BLS upon hire or within orientation; ACLS preferred or obtained within 6 months; NRP required within 3 months; Fetal Monitoring certification preferred or obtained within 1 year.
Skills:
Exceptional clinical judgment, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment, patient advocacy, and EHR proficiency.
