Feather Robotics, a VC-backed startup, is assembling a world-class team to build general-purpose robots. Feather is relentlessly focused on creating the best labor platform for others to build, monetize, and scale on. Responsibilities
Lead fit, finish, and performance mechanical designs. Design for manufacturing: machining, injection molding, assembly, and die casting. Run FEA, thermal management analysis, and reliability testing. Create detailed GD&T drawings and assembly documents for production. Some electrical engineering work related to wire routing, battery management systems, battery monitoring systems and more. Hands on building with fabrication tools. Qualifications
Previous Robotics Engineering Experience Required Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum Senior level experience. Experience at a large consumer product firm is a plus (2 years +). Expert CAD skills (Fusion is a bonus). Experience in machining, injection molding, die casting, and assembly. Expert GD&T knowledge. Solid understanding of FEA, thermal analysis, materials, and reliability testing. Hands-on experience with prototypes, shop tools, and bringing hardware to life. Exposure to electrical engineering is a big plus. Some leadership experience. Seniority level
