Underground Transmission Line Project Engineering Manager — you will have the opportunity to: Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians Manage diverse and challenging projects across our portfolio of design services and EPC programs Oversee design quality, budget, and schedule Support client interaction, proposals, and business development The Team

Develop and manage budget, schedule, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines for assigned projects Actively manage project changes with the Client in coordination with the Project Manager Review lower-level engineering work, coordinate multi-discipline activity, and may serve as engineer of record Develop good working relationships with project leadership, design teams, and support staff Communicate client interests to project teams and develop approaches to address these concerns Support business development and pursuit activities Occasional travel to support site visits, design reviews, and client meetings Adhere to Black & Veatch quality programs and maintain client and industry standards Provide mentorship and guidance to team members Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing EPC or design services underground transmission line projects for investor-owned utilities in the United States Experience in design of high voltage underground transmission lines and lifecycle of linear underground projects Experience developing plan and profile drawings Working knowledge of CYMCAP and Pull-Planner Strong communication skills and ability to engage with clients Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable standards Knowledge of interdisciplinary project coordination: procurement, subcontract administration, permitting, and construction support Experience with the proposal process and engineering estimates P.E. License preferred Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program Minimum of 8 years related work experience Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records) as applicable by law Certifications
Most positions require professional registration or licensure in the designated country, or active pursuit of such registration. Additional licensure may be needed when practicing in a different country. Exceptions may be approved by division management. Work Environment/Physical Demands
