The Chandler group performs cradle-to-grave engineering on the majority of their launch vehicles and works on multiple programs, including GPI, Antares, Minotaur, Pegasus, GMD, Sentinel, and more. This role supports design, operations planning, ground support development, analysis, testing, integration, launch operations, and related activities. Relocation assistance may be available. Job Duties
Based on specific objectives, perform analysis, design, and/or test of complex designs. Perform comprehensive review of internal, external, industry, customer, and range requirements to support system and subsystem designs. Perform detailed analyses to support/verify designs and conduct briefings to management and customers. Lead development, coordination, and execution of test programs required to evaluate the design. Lead troubleshooting efforts and comprehensive failure investigations. Mentor other engineers from a technical standpoint and perform senior peer reviews. Collaborate early and often with other IPTs, engineering disciplines, and operations/manufacturing groups. Job Responsibilities
Broad understanding and application of industry and company electrical engineering technical standards. Broad technical expertise and working knowledge of related disciplines. Prepare and present electrical engineering materials for Requirements and Design Reviews. Perform qualification acceptance testing, characterization testing, troubleshooting, and test data review of complex system designs. Perform data analysis to identify trends that may indicate out-of-tolerance or degraded part performance. Perform testing to characterize off-nominal behavior of components. Actively participate and contribute in a positive manner while supporting team decisions and goals. Provide quality internal and external customer service. Proactively seek new information to meet customer needs. Escalate where required and maintain disciplined communication. Derive and decompose requirements through multiple sources of documentation and design meetings. Evaluate uncertainty and risks associated with requirements and designs. Participate in trade studies for internal projects and procured equipment. Prioritize safety in every aspect of the role. Provide formal peer review of engineering designs or analyses for team members. Basic Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of experience, or 0 years with a Master’s degree U.S. Citizenship is required Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security clearance is required Preferred Qualifications
Active Secret Security Clearance or higher Experience with missile systems and related standards Experience with design, test, and/or integration and deployment of electrical components or subsystems Experience releasing engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, and test procedures Experience with nonconformance burndown and root cause failure analysis of electronic systems Ability to evaluate uncertainty and risks in requirements and designs Ability to derive and decompose requirements from multiple sources Strong problem solving for technical, schedule, cost, and resource challenges Mentoring and cross-training across diverse technologies and electrical architectures Experience with basic test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, electronic loads) Experience with analytical tools such as MATLAB or Python for data analysis Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00. The salary range is a guideline; offers depend on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses.
