The Rivian Technical Service Operations Team ensures every Rivian driver receives premium service for vehicle maintenance or repair. We provide seamless and convenient solutions through our network of Rivian-owned service centers, mobile service vehicles, and service parts network. We are seeking customer-centric professionals to continuously develop and improve the quality and range of our service and products. The Technical Service Operations Team encompasses service engineering, collision repair, service parts, programs & operations, technical support, field teams, and remanufacturing. Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of Serviceability Requirements for Mechanical Systems. Establish best practices and standards of work for Serviceability of Design and drive those requirements into the vehicle development process. Determine, track, and deliver key Serviceability metrics through multiple product launches and continuous improvement through the vehicle lifecycle. Develop Mechanical Sub-System Service Plans (Service Strategy). Release production part assemblies into serviceable sub-systems for an efficient and effective service part strategy. Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure Production Suppliers provide the appropriate amount of service parts based on service part release strategy. Coordinate the return of key parts replaced in the field for root cause analysis and production fixes. Train, coach, and develop employees to exceed customer expectations and foster a culture of Serviceability within Engineering & Design. Identify, define, and promote emerging product and service issues to appropriate channels for closed-loop problem resolution. Develop service procedures for technicians to successfully repair Rivian vehicles. Ensure that engineering field action repair recommendations can be correctly and repeatedly performed by service technicians. Support Field Action bulletins (safety, compliance, emission, customer satisfaction, service update). Study service procedures to determine required labor time for a technician to complete the repair. Identify and develop service tools to properly diagnose and repair vehicles. Provide input and expertise into the development of technical service training materials. Drive a culture of Prediction, Prevention, and Protection. Qualifications

3-5+ years’ relevant engineering experience; 8+ years of field experience or Foreman experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in service, Aftersales & Engineering Launch experience on a vehicle program preferred. Demonstrated leadership in driving service requirements in a complex environment and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a strong cross-functional environment. Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with internal and external partners. Practiced technical knowledge for areas of responsibility and surrounding parts/systems. Able to work efficiently under a high amount of work/stress with minimal oversight. High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex. Knowledge of engineering software and systems as it pertains to job-related area. Experience in Catia V6 and Delmia environment. BS in Engineering, Automotive Technology or similar STEM degree required. Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $107k - $142k (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). Benefits Summary
