Description AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to new product innovations that set AWS’s services apart. As a member of UC, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps services, including support for customers requiring specialized security solutions. Within UC, Annapurna Labs designs silicon and software that accelerates innovation, creating custom chips, accelerators, and software stacks that enable technical challenges never seen before and deliver impactful results for our customers. We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineering Lead with a proven track record in implementing best-in-class processes within complex manufacturing environments. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will work closely with hardware design and test engineers to improve product assembly processes for advanced machine learning servers. Your responsibilities include participating in early manufacturing line development, managing lifecycle changes, identifying quality improvements, and driving root cause analysis in supplier quality activities. The ideal candidate has experience in design or manufacturing and is capable of making broad business decisions. Key Responsibilities
Design and build assembly lines for machine learning servers. Test server components and multi-rack systems. Propose design changes to enhance manufacturability and testability. Guide manufacturing tolerances and review external production processes to identify risks and improvements. Identify and address supplier quality issues, including containment and root cause analysis. Hire and mentor team members, including engineers and technicians. Evaluate failures for root cause analysis and resolution. Travel to manufacturing and ODM sites as needed. A Day in the Life

BS or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related fields 8+ years of industry experience in System Design, Assembly, or Manufacturing Experience with Mechanical & Thermal design for air-cooled and liquid-cooled systems Effective collaboration across multiple sites and detailed specification development Experience working with ODMs, vendors, and internal teams on troubleshooting and resolving issues Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of server mechanical/thermal design, power modeling, and thermal analysis Experience in team building and scaling Hands-on hardware design experience at sled and rack levels Programming skills: Bash, Shell, Linux, Python, Lua; familiarity with Linux environment is a plus We are an equal opportunity employer.
