Fives North American Combustion, Inc. is hiring a permanent, full-time Product Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, OH.

Able to work with minimal supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and suppliers to define, design, and deliver new products, technical solutions, and enhancements that meet the needs of the company, clients, and end users. Contributes to product training seminars and presentations. Develops and maintains product documentation. Provides customer support in escalated cases. Develops standards and documentation for new product designs. Creatively designs products to enhance performance and optimize cost. Identifies and leads continuous product improvement efforts. Designs for manufacturability in all cases. Utilizes current product standards as a baseline to design cost-effective engineered specials that meet customer specifications.

Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written). Solid understanding of general mechanical and thermal engineering sciences, specifically Fluid Mechanics. Familiar with 3D CAD design software (CREO/Pro-E preferred) to turn concepts into functional equipment. Able to specify materials and demonstrate knowledge of stress, strain, and strength evaluation methods to ensure product durability. Knowledge of casting design and machining, fabrication design, and ceramics is a plus. General proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Strong problem-solving skills. Willing to travel in support of sales and customer jobs. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
