General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for performing a variety of non-routine and non-repetitive assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing assembly tasks such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed work. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with control procedures. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembles components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to specifications. Performs duties in the assembly of electronic equipment such as cables, harnesses, chassis, and printed circuit boards; or mechanical assembly of panels, LRUs, batteries, and servo motors related to cable assembly. Disassembles, modifies, reworks, reassembles, and tests experimental/prototype assemblies or subassemblies according to specifications. Observes all laws, regulations, and obligations applicable to the company's conduct. Works safely according to established procedures. Completes disposition on nonconforming products when needed. Participates in production IPTs and communicates with engineering/support departments. Leads weekly cell team meetings and mentors team members. Assists in technical troubleshooting of cable assemblies. Performs 5S housekeeping and cleanup duties. Supports clean-as-you-go during shifts. May train lower-level assemblers or act as a lead. Ability to read engineering drawings and wire lists. Knowledgeable in specialized functions and technical applications. Proficient in computer applications relevant to the role. Familiar with soldering and compression connection tools. Good visual perception and color differentiation. Ability to work independently or in teams, including extended hours. Must obtain and maintain DoD Security clearance. Job Type: Full-Time Hourly Salary range: $52,020 - $77,325 Seniority level
