Summary The Spa Manager is responsible for the overall operation, growth, and performance of the hotel’s spa and wellness center. This leader ensures a luxurious, welcoming, and results-driven spa experience for guests, while maximizing profitability and upholding brand standards. The Spa Manager oversees daily operations, staff management, service excellence, retail sales, guest satisfaction, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all spa operations, including front desk, therapists, estheticians and retail.
Develop and implement service protocols and guest experience standards that align with the hotel’s luxury service philosophy.
Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate spa team members to ensure high performance and guest satisfaction.
Promote spa services and wellness programs to increase guest engagement and revenue.
Manage inventory and retail product ordering while maintaining proper stock levels and visual merchandising.
Ensure spa cleanliness, safety, and equipment maintenance standards are consistently met.
Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with grace, empathy, and effective resolution.
Prepare and manage budgets, forecasting, labor controls, and financial reporting.
Coordinate with Marketing and Sales to promote special offers, wellness events, and seasonal campaigns.
Stay current with industry trends, treatments, and products to keep offerings fresh and competitive.

Our ideal Spa Manager candidate possesses the following qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of spa management experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or day spa setting.
Proven leadership and team development skills.
Strong understanding of spa operations, guest service delivery, and wellness trends.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in spa booking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Certified/licensed in massage therapy, aesthetics, or a wellness-related field is a plus.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint for daily administrative tasks, data analysis, reporting, presentation development, and internal communications.
Spa Management Software: Advanced experience with industry-specific platforms such as Book4Time or comparable systems, with the ability to manage booking configurations, treatment schedules, therapist availability, retail transactions, and client history tracking.
Payroll and Scheduling Systems: Competence in timekeeping and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, or equivalent) to ensure accurate labor tracking, schedule management, and compliance with wage and hour regulations.
Inventory and Procurement Systems: Ability to utilize purchasing and inventory management platforms for ordering, stock control, and vendor tracking. Experience with systems that integrate purchasing with budget controls and usage forecasting is a plus.
Financial Management Tools: Working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting tools, including the preparation and tracking of departmental budgets, monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and revenue projection models.
Guest Relations & CRM Platforms: Familiarity with customer service systems and CRM tools used to enhance guest satisfaction, manage feedback, and personalize spa experiences.
