Overview
Business Banking - Senior Business Banking Officer As a Senior Business Banking Officer, you will actively pursue business banking relationships specific to healthcare and professional services and provide a full range of business banking services with an emphasis on loans, treasury management and deposit products, with a goal of earning 100% of the client’s relationship. You will develop and expand business relationships by calling on potential and existing clients to offer business loan, deposit, and treasury services, and identify Consumer and Mortgage opportunities for Business Clients and the Business Client’s Associates. You will provide financial advice and counsel to business clients on credit structure and treasury management products, and guide the client through the onboarding process from initial meetings to loan closing, delivering a consistent, positive experience with every interaction. You will critically review, analyze, and structure business loans. Responsibilities
Develop and expand business relationships by calling on potential and existing clients to offer business loan, deposit, and treasury services. Identify Consumer and Mortgage opportunities for Business Clients and the Business Client’s Associates. Provide financial advice on credit structure and treasury management products; guide clients through onboarding from initial meeting to loan closing. Deliver a consistent, positive client experience with every interaction; analyze and structure business loans. Monitor loan portfolio performance by maintaining contact with borrowers and resolving problems as appropriate. Proactively cultivate client relationships, prospects, and referral sources to maximize deposits, treasury, and lending growth. Establish a referral network and build relationships within an established COI network; conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities to provide financial services. Collaborate with Banking Centers to support portfolio growth; maintain professionalism and respect in all client and colleague interactions. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 5+ years of successful commercial or small business lending. 7+ years of banking experience. 7+ years of business-to-business development experience. Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 10+ years of successful commercial or small business lending. 10+ years of banking experience. Completion of bank training or formal credit training program. Skills and Abilities
Strong credit background with ability to analyze financial statements, underwrite loans, and prepare loan presentations for approval by credit committees. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to clearly articulate issues. Creative thinking and resourcefulness to meet challenges. Strong interpersonal skills to build peer and team cohesiveness. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple tasks and projects. Ability to make sound and timely decisions, delivering on commitments and taking responsibility for results. Strong client service skills with professional interaction with internal and external clients. Professional demeanor at all times; represents the bank appropriately. Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Work Environment
Office setting with traditional hours. Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods. Physical capability to perform job duties and travel approximately 50% to 60% of the time. Benefits
