The Project Scheduler will support large-scale utility infrastructure projects, primarily in electric transmission and distribution, by developing and maintaining integrated schedules using Primavera P6. This role is critical to ensuring effective planning, execution tracking, and risk mitigation across multi-phase utility projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 for electric transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate discipline-specific activities into a unified project timeline.
Analyze schedule impacts, forecast project timelines, and provide critical path and float analysis to support timely project delivery.
Track progress against baseline schedules and proactively identify delays or risks that could affect scope, cost, or timing.
Prepare weekly and monthly scheduling reports and visual dashboards using tools like Power BI, Excel, and P6.
Ensure all schedules align with utility industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company-specific processes.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of project scheduling experience using Primavera P6 within the electric utility industry (transmission and/or distribution preferred)
Strong understanding of utility infrastructure lifecycles, permitting processes, construction sequencing, and regulatory timelines
Experience supporting EPC or capital improvement projects in a utility environment
Proficiency in schedule logic development, resource loading, or progress measurement techniques
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
