About the Team: The Engine Manufacturing team is dedicated to delivering high-performance engines and advancing innovative manufacturing systems that continuously improve cost, quality, and lead time. The team contributes to hardware iterations and interfaces with engineers to make critical decisions for the Aeon R program and is focused on producing flight engines at rate for Terran R’s aggressive launch manifest. About the Role: Lead a team responsible for the development and production of engine integration hardware such as ducts, manifolds, and structural brackets. Provide mentorship, project management, establish priorities, communicate with leadership, offer technical guidance, and participate in recruiting to grow the team. Collaborate with Manufacturing stakeholders (Components manufacturing, Integration, PBF, Machine Shop, Planning) and external partners (Supply Chain, Quality, Design Engineering) to drive progress and adapt to changing requirements. Ensure hardware delivery to the engine to meet program targets, and drive continuous improvement, new product development, and future strategy for valves manufacturing at Relativity. About You: Bachelor of Science in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment. Extensive experience authoring work instructions and/or process procedures for manufacturing complex assemblies. Experience interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, and production personnel in a production environment. Experience executing and driving projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and advocate for Design for Manufacturing principles. Nice to haves but not required: 5+ years of experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience leading engineering teams and mentoring peers. Extensive experience with engine integration components. Experience scaling from development to high-rate production.
