Job area: Managerial Location: USA - Pharr, Capote Central Ave Division: Solutions Job Posting Title: Supervisor, Operations - 101099 Time Type: Full Time DSV is seeking a Supervisor, Operations to supervise, manage labor, planning of inbound/outbound, product slotting and customer communication activities daily, including labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower. This role includes people management responsibilities such as hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues and resolving problems. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor oversees receiving, warehousing and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality and comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities, plan and assure continuous improvement. Effectively keeps senior management and client representatives informed of critical issues that affect the operations. Develops systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products in a safe and profitable manner in accordance with company policies; manages operations to meet productivity and service goals; complies with client operating agreements. Implements and reports on-going cost savings measures; provides ideas for more efficient operations. Meets all client-specified KPI’s and complies with Quality system requirements. Manages operations to achieve objectives; applies communication and leadership techniques; supports HR activities including hiring, training, development, performance evaluations, and promotions. Oversees training and evaluation of warehouse staff. Plans daily work schedules by reviewing work orders and instructions; assigns duties to warehouse staff based on priorities and resources. Reviews pending jobs, plans warehouse space reorganizations, and adjusts supplies, equipment, or staffing as needed. Trains new staff in assigned duties or delegates training to experienced team members; assesses progress and assigns additional duties as appropriate. Maintains awareness of job quantity and quality; provides guidance and advice as necessary. Assigns supervisory duties to experienced team members and keeps management informed of progress or problems. Holds regular meetings with warehouse staff; discusses ideas for improvement and communicates new developments. Assists in physical operations as needed. Delivers results by leveraging the right people at the right time and maintains motivation to provide high levels of customer satisfaction. Provides growth and development opportunities for team members; participates in performance reviews and HR-related activities; adheres to SOPs. Supports and trains team members with adherence to SOPs (corporate and client). Qualifications

Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED; 3 years' experience in a logistics/distribution environment; 1 year supervisory experience (required). Preferred: Prior MHE certification or knowledge of basic MHE operation. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations: Forklift training program completion (satisfactory). Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). RF Scanners; WMS functions. Language Skills: English (reading, writing, verbal); business communication. Mathematical Skills: Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities, count inventory, and perform duties related to handling, storing and distributing client products. Other Skills: Strong attention to detail; good organizational and personnel skills; good communication (written and oral); strong leadership, supervision, and planning skills; ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends; cross-training capability to support multiple areas; adaptability to fast-paced environments. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Physical: Bend, walk, stand, sit; lift/carry and push/pull up to 1-20 pounds as needed; reach above shoulder, squat or kneel. Work environment: Noise level low to moderate; occasionally exposed to warehouse conditions; overtime may be required.
