Position Overview

Expand UMC’s presence and revenue by developing, maintaining, and growing the Advanced Technology vertical market which includes but is not limited to: aerospace, alternative fuels, power generation plants, battery plants, advanced manufacturing, chip fabrication, biopharma (cGMP), and large scale industrial projects. Develop relationships with stakeholders in Advanced Technology targeting strategic customers. Create new business, prioritize customers with high-value, strategic growth opportunity, and retain and grow existing business by developing profitable growth opportunities across all lines of business. Develop, grow, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the vertical market, including: key personnel at strategic accounts, owners, general contractors, consultants, trade organizations, policy makers, utilities, and regulatory authorities. Be the subject matter expert in the vertical market for UMC. Maintain understanding of trends, news, stakeholders, competitors, and events. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Market Plan for the vertical market in coordination with UMC stakeholders across multiple lines of business. Accountable for development and maintenance of Account Plans within the vertical market. Coordinate and stay informed on all UMC customer-facing activities in the vertical market: sales, marketing, project management, operations, and customer service. Open leads and opportunities for UMC lines of business, with emphasis on high-margin services. Accountable for bookings and revenue from the vertical market. Log all activities in UMC’s CRM system. Understanding of facility layout, design and function. Understating of clean manufacturing facility layout, design and function. Secondary Responsibilities

Enlist the support of LOB managers and implementation resources, project management resources, and other sales and management resources as needed. Assist with the management of internal preconstruction processes (engineering to estimating, preconstruction to commissioning). Support other vertical markets as needed to support UMC success Ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution. Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing to coordinate vertical market efforts. Develop new products and services to meet needs of the vertical market. Identify and recruit high value candidates for roles at UMC. Required Skills and Abilities

Deep understanding of the vertical market. Strong networking and relationship management skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM. Strong personal commitment to customer service. Ability to coordinate and support team members. Sales skills including the ability to prospect, research, qualify sales opportunities, question effectively, make presentations, create account strategies, ability to understand customers’ business. Understanding of local and state codes that affect the various project and product offerings Preferred Education and Experience

Ten years or more dedicated to Advanced Technology field (research, project/product/program management, design and construction, or related). Four-year technical degree related to field (ME, EE, IE, Civil, Bio Eng, etc.). Two years of estimating or two years of design experience in addition to advanced technology experience. Demonstration of speaking or presentation engagements. Demonstration of articles, journals, or other publications. Required Licensing and Other Certifications
