Responsibilities
Manage UNM Lobo Club credit cards, reimbursements, gift-in-kind forms, and other business operations. Assist with reconciliation, record keeping, and overall donor cultivation efforts related to Sport Enhancement Funds, Endowments, and other restricted gift accounts created to benefit the Athletic Department. Coordinate, compile, and analyze annual financial statements for the UNM Lobo Club and reconcile accounts in QuickBooks. Oversee the design, documentation, and implementation of various integrated systems and applications for periodic and ad hoc financial reporting, utilizing complex electronic financial information from UNM systems and databases (ChromeRiver, Banner, Paciolan, Salesforce, QuickBooks, etc). Assist with UNM Athletic Department business operations including, but not limited to, P-Card assistance, the development of game contracts, and record keeping. Participate in the development of the annual operating budget for the UNM Lobo Club and provide fiscal direction to the unit. Prepare financial documents and materials for UNM Lobo Club board meetings, as needed. Maintain and create internal controls to adhere to non-profit state guidelines. Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. May supervise student workers. Participate in short- and long-range organizational and operational planning for the UNM Lobo Club. Compile and analyze financial information of the organizational entity, and develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Collaborate with and coordinate all components of the organization to ensure consistent reporting and adherence to federal and state financial reporting regulations and guidelines, and conformity with university fiscal policies and procedures. Analyze, design, document, and implement internal financial reporting systems and procedures for the organization. Maintain records, contracts, and financial records on behalf of the athletic department. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree and successful completion of at least 9 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; no previous experience required. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to professional personnel in area of expertise. Database management skills. Knowledge and operational ability in QuickBooks. Knowledge of donation/ticketing systems (e.g. Paciolan, Salesforce) Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems. Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and present complex annual financial reports, statements, and/or projections. Knowledge of Federal and State financial regulations. Knowledge of the principles, processes, and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting as related to a public institution. Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops. Additional Information
