Bloomberg 9 North – Pediatric Cardiac Step‑Down, Transplant, and General Care Unit is a 20‑bed general care and step‑down unit. The registered nurse provides care for medical/surgical patients varying by specialty from birth to adulthood. The unit specializes in heart, liver, and kidney transplants, genetic/metabolic diseases, and inpatient clinical research. It also specializes in cardiac/cardiac surgery patients, which includes step‑down level of care. Common diagnoses include complex congenital heart disease, acquired heart disease, heart failure, and dysrhythmias, with medical and surgical intervention.
Shift: Night Shift / PRN
Who Should Apply
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program required
Active Maryland or Compact RN license required
BLS CPR certification required
RN work experience required (previous pediatric nursing experience preferred)
Salary Range: Minimum $51.52/hour – Maximum $51.52/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
