General Information: The Quality Systems Supervisor leads, organizes, directs, and measures all activities related to batch record review, and product release. This position is ultimately responsible for ensuring compliance with GMP and FDA regulations. What are we looking for? BA/BS in a science or other technical related field. A minimum of 5 years in a Quality Assurance position with experience in preparing or reviewing technical reports/documents. Five years’ experience as a supervisor preferred. SAP experience, preferred. Benefits Include: Health/Vision/Dental/401k/bonus potential! 10 Paid Holidays Paid Vacation Days Immediate openings This position is responsible for: Motivates, coaches, and develops the Document Control Unit (DCU) and Quality Systems Auditors (QSA) to deliver optimal results based on the department’s goals. Communicates performance expectations and delivers feedback as required. Reviews and signs off on all documentation related to the product release process to ensure cGMP requirements are followed and documents are accurate. Participates in root cause investigations stemming from non-conforming events as needed to meet timing for product release. Reviews and approves quality-controlled documents to assess content, justification for change, and impact on the business. Prepares key performance metrics and trend reports related to the results of the Quality department. Communicates any areas of concern or risk to the manager. Facilitates the documentation process initiated by Customer Service and/or Engineering for new product start-ups and process transfers. Ensures all documentation, such as bill of materials and fill & assembly documents, are complete and ready for production. Identifies, leads, and drives opportunities to improve quality systems and develop long-term strategies that support the success of the business. Establishes and/or revises Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and best practices related to the quality systems. Performs all work in a manner that is consistent with the company’s quality system and FDA good manufacturing practices. Follows, promotes and enforces KDC’s safety and environmental policies, practices, and procedures. Assess the training plan and needs of DCU and QSA to assure they have met the training requirements necessary to meet company, department and GMP requirements and are fulfilling them. Performs other duties as assigned. This position also acts as a back up for the QA supervisor.
