Sourcing Manager – Direct Procurement (Diagnostics)

Location:

Tucson, AZ (Onsite minimum 3 days per week: Tuesday & Thursday at Oro Valley Campus; Wednesday at Marana Campus)

Duration:

12 months (possible extension)

Overview We are seeking a

Sourcing Manager

to support direct procurement operations within a leading diagnostics manufacturing organization. The successful candidate will execute sourcing and supplier management activities that align with global category strategies while supporting operational excellence, cost optimization, and supplier performance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day direct procurement operations, ensuring alignment with category management and sourcing strategies.

Support supplier relationship management, issue resolution, and escalation handling.

Lead and document cost-saving and value-improvement initiatives.

Maintain procurement master data and ensure data accuracy in enterprise systems.

Execute spot buying and basic contracting in compliance with company policies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, finance, and logistics) to ensure seamless procurement processes.

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline (advanced degree ).

3+ years of procurement experience , including sourcing, contracting, and supplier management.

Strong understanding of the

end-to-end procure-to-pay process

and enterprise procurement systems.

Experience with

eSourcing tools

and business enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP, Ariba, or Coupa).

Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into procurement specifications.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement negotiation plans independently.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience in

Life Sciences

or

Diagnostics Manufacturing .

Knowledge of

operational excellence

or

continuous improvement

methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis for decision-making.
