What You’ll Do

You’ll be the heartbeat of our supply chain—ensuring raw materials, components, and packaging arrive on time to support our blending, filling, and packaging operations. You’ll convert production plans into actionable material strategies, manage supplier relationships, and keep inventory lean, healthy, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & MRP

Translate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) into time-phased material requirements.

Run MRP, review exceptions, and release purchase orders in alignment with demand and safety stock policies.

Maintain accurate planning parameters (lead times, MOQ, safety stock) and item classifications by site.

Manage multi-site inventory balancing to prevent production delays and optimize working capital.

Source and purchase raw chemicals, packaging, and printed materials from approved suppliers.

Manage supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness) and negotiate terms as needed.

Execute expedite/de-expedite actions to resolve shortages while minimizing cost impact.

Support dual-sourcing and risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with Supply Chain leadership.

Inventory & Materials Control

Monitor inventory health, including safety stock coverage, days of supply, and shelf life tracking.

Reduce aged and obsolete inventory through proactive planning and collaboration with Production and Quality.

Coordinate with Quality on incoming inspections, sampling, and product release timing.

Ensure full lot traceability and compliance with cGMP, ISO 22716, and all regulatory requirements.

Quality, Compliance & Documentation

Maintain accurate CoAs, CoCs, SDS, and other compliance documentation for all purchased materials.

Ensure regulatory labeling components (e.g., EPA label elements) are updated and approved prior to release.

Follow all chemical handling, storage, and safety protocols in alignment with EHS requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Production Scheduling to align material availability with planned runs.

Partner with Packaging Engineering on specification changes and with Sales/E-commerce on launch readiness.

Provide proactive supply risk updates to Sales, Customer Service, and Operations leadership.

Data, Systems & Reporting

Maintain clean ERP/MRP data for items, suppliers, and BOMs (NetSuite preferred).

Publish regular dashboards/reports for material coverage, shortages, late POs, and supplier scorecards.

Recommend automation and process improvements to streamline planning and supplier communication.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Material Availability – zero production line stops due to shortages

Inventory Turns and Days of Supply within target

Reduction in aged/obsolete inventory value

First-Pass Incoming Quality Release (≥98%)

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field.

APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.

Experience:

1-4+ years in materials planning, supply planning, or procurement within a CPG or process manufacturing environment (liquids preferred).

Hands-on ERP/MRP experience; NetSuite strongly preferred.

Proven record of shortage prevention and supplier performance management.

Strong MRP and inventory optimization skills.

Advanced Excel; BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus.

Skilled in vendor negotiation and expediting.

Knowledge of cGMP/ISO 22716, lot traceability, and regulatory compliance for materials.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under changing priorities
