Overview
The Assessment & Taxation (A&T) Department Elections Division has a full-time Senior Administrative Specialist position available.
The Department: The Elections office is a fast-paced environment that requires quality work with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The Elections office celebrates diversity and engages with voters from varied backgrounds and experiences in a fair and impartial manner.
The Position: As a Senior Administrative Specialist within the Elections Division, you will support the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of elections processes. This role provides a variety of advanced administrative, clerical, and project-related support using independent judgment in content and style. It involves substantial public contact in explaining policies and procedures. The ability to learn the unit procedures and operate a variety of office equipment, software applications, and department systems is essential.
The Ideal Candidate An ideal candidate maintains a high level of accuracy, is flexible, self-motivated and has a positive attitude. They should be highly skilled in verbal and written communication, time management, customer service, organization and prioritization. A strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality is highly preferred.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent. AND
Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative or clerical support.
Additional Requirements
Must pass a criminal background check post-offer.
Possession of a driver's license valid in the State of Oregon and an acceptable driving record per Washington County policy. The Driver's License & Records Policy is applicable.
