HCA Healthcare The Division Director of Support Services is responsible for providing leadership and overseeing the EVS and FNS service lines for the HCA Hospitals in their division. This position drives operational improvement and expense management by standardizing people, processes, and technology, and builds strategic alliances with Division, Facility Leadership, and EVS and FNS Department Directors to execute required services. Major Responsibilities
Provides leadership in operational improvement and expense management for the division and facilities to improve Environmental Services (EVS) and Food and Nutritional Services (FNS). Oversees operational effectiveness of EVS and FNS management plans to reduce variation and ensure standardized, consistent processes. Models high levels of customer service, patient satisfaction, a positive work culture, and cost-effective management of EVS and FNS activities (e.g., cleanliness, patient care, linen management, sanitation, infection control; food-related activities, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and health regulations). Collaborates with division and facility teams to analyze data, make strategic recommendations, and execute actions to improve quality and reduce costs for EVS and FNS. Interacts with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and challenges; develops solutions to meet commitments and gather customer feedback for improvements. Coordinates development and delivery of customer solutions to drive improvements in patient satisfaction. Analyzes clinical and financial performance data to identify variation and develop plans to reduce it; demonstrates ROI analysis for new programs or initiatives. Monitors and analyzes HCAHPS related to EVS and FNS; develops expense savings and improvement goals with hospital leadership and facility teams. Develops standardized toolkits, processes, and assessments to drive expense and operational improvement. Uses project management methodologies (milestones, accountability, tools) to plan and execute initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree Required Master’s Degree Preferred Minimum five years of experience in a related-industry setting (hospitality, environmental, and/or food service operations) with leadership related to EVS or FNS duties; proven track record with results in expense management and operational improvement Ten years of healthcare EVS or FNS leadership experience managing multiple facilities; experience with a group purchasing organization (preferred) Technology, Hospitality, Culinary Services, Nutrition or related management experience (preferred) Licensed Dietitian Preferred ANAB Food Protection Manager Certification Preferred Food Safety Certification Preferred Registered Dietitian Preferred Must be willing to travel within the division HealthTrust Supply Chain
