Overview
(Fleet) Senior Sourcing Category Manager – manages category leadership for fleet related categories, including fleet management and maintenance services, repair parts, fuel, and capital assets. Defines and articulates a cohesive Sourcing strategy for the fleet category, builds and expands strategic supplier partnerships, and delivers strategic financial and operational value across the organization. Partners with Fleet Solutions, System and Maintenance teams to develop category strategies that align stakeholder requirements, drive strategic sourcing activities, negotiate procurement agreements, and manage supplier relationships. Responsible for overseeing a significant annual spend (at least $150 million) with expectations of growth aligned to the organizations growth plans.
Responsibilities
Own overall strategy for the fleet product category, including supplier relationships, supplier performance management (QBR), supplier sourcing strategies, and new product introductions.
Develop and deliver long-term sourcing strategies, lead key initiatives with cross-functional teams; drive the category roadmap decisions with leadership.
Drive commercial relationships with suppliers to achieve optimal cost and performance.
Lead supplier performance management business reviews to identify best practices and opportunities, including sustainability and social responsibility improvements.
Manage end-to-end RFI/RFQ/RFP processes with key stakeholders to increase operational efficiencies, identify and partner with the best suppliers, and maximize value creation.
Drive end-to-end contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, minimize risk, and enforce supplier accountability.
Analyze contract documents to determine obligations and provide recommendations for acceptance or modifications.
Analyze data, draw reasonable conclusions, make recommendations, and communicate analysis to all levels of the organization.
Develop reporting frameworks and tools to communicate sourcing status, supplier performance, and value creation (savings) to cross-functional stakeholders.
Understand market trends that impact the business; identify product expansion and new product opportunities.
Coordinate with local teams to deploy and manage the implementation of defined strategies.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of supply chain sourcing experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Significant experience in conducting supplier RFI, RFP, supplier selection, and supplier performance management
Ability to plan and lead negotiations with input from multiple internal stakeholders
Familiar with pricing terms that support the purchase of vehicles, upfitters, fleet services, maintenance parts, and fuel
