Purpose of Job: The purpose of this role is to develop, lead, and manage the demand planning process for the HAS (HuberAgro Solutions) European-based businesses. The role supports and facilitates the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process by delivering a 24-month consensus forecast and contributes to the annual budgeting cycle.
Main Responsibilities
Forecasting & Demand Planning: Drive the monthly forecasting process for HAS Europe, maintaining a rolling 24-month forecast.
Monitor forecast changes, document underlying business assumptions, and analyze trends.
Communicate key forecast updates to Supply Planning and assist Commercial teams in reviewing and updating forecasts.
Compare forecasts against prior month, year, and budget; analyze forecast accuracy, bias, and perform lag analysis.
Support the business by transitioning from informal to formalized, statistical-based processes.
Restate historical data as needed to improve forecast accuracy.
Support demand planning for NPD, product transitions, distribution changes, and slow/obsolete inventory analysis.
Integrated Business Planning (IBP): Prepare monthly consensus reports for use in the IBP process.
Organize local/regional review meetings to align on forecast and build to SBU consensus.
Help implement a formal IBP process aligned with the Oliver Wight framework.
Tools & Systems: Utilize Oracle Cloud Supply Chain tools (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP Cloud, EPM Cloud).
Develop interim Excel-based tools during the transition to Oracle Demand Planning Cloud and support system rollout as sites migrate to Oracle.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Commercial, Supply Chain, Ops, and Finance; collaborate with global teams across NA, SA, and Asia; share best practices to standardize processes across the HAS platform.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management, Business, or a related field.
7–10 years of experience in S&OP, IBP, demand planning, or materials management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proven expertise in statistical forecasting methods (Winter’s Method, Holt Exponential Smoothing, Croston’s) with a track record of applying these to improve forecast accuracy.
Experience as a superuser of Oracle Demand Management Cloud, with the ability to maintain data integrity across Oracle Demand and ERP systems.
Solid business acumen with understanding of customer segmentation, market dynamics, and key commercial drivers.
Strong analytical skills and comfort working with complex data.
Fluent in English and Italian.
Excellent facilitation and communication skills across all levels; able to present insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Proactive, self-motivated mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive initiatives forward independently.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
ASCM CPIM certification is a plus.
Experience with Oracle Demand Management Cloud is advantageous.
