Department Overview:

The Electric Operations team ensures the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to customers. The department manages every aspect of electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.

Job Responsibilities:

Cost Plan Development and Analysis:

Use cost and schedule plans to evaluate project achievability Create, maintain, and update monthly forecast budgets Prepare cost reports and maintain forecast accuracy Perform project performance analysis and identify variances Recommend corrective actions for cost/schedule variances Communicate project cost, schedule, and risks to stakeholders Support responses for project budgets, GRC, and FERC requests Interface with design, planning resources, and software systems Assist in preparing and routing Advance Authorizations, Job Estimates, and Re-Authorizations Prepare journal entries and process goods receipts Input data and prepare cost/forecasting reports Project Documentation & Reporting:

Confirm project milestones and contribute to process improvement Manage project documentation via EDMS or other systems Ensure compliance, close out orders, and resolve open items Maintain logs: change orders, contingency releases, journal entries Provide project status reports, including cost and schedule variances Assist PM with Post Job Critiques Comply with Utility Operations Policies, Standards, and Guidelines Central Data Management Functions:

Prepare monthly/weekly reports and department scorecards Validate report data and ensure reporting quality Support project managers as needed Special Projects:

Fulfill ad-hoc requests for cost-related analysis Participate in or lead process improvement initiatives Central Financial Analysis Functions:

Prepare project budget/cycle forecast and finance reports using SAP/BW and EPM Collaborate with stakeholders to develop useful reporting tools Summarize and report project forecast variances Update and publish project reports on internal portals Financial and Performance Management:

Monitor and report forecasting performance weekly Analyze financial results and prepare scorecards/lessons learned Schedule Development and Analysis:

Work with PMs to create schedules and forecasts Attend kickoff and walk-down meetings Maintain project schedules and milestone tracking Participate in project meetings, collect progress data, and revise plans Monitor financial progress and control order groups Use tools such as SAP Project System, SAP WMS, and Primavera P6 Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 1 year of experience in electric/gas operations, planning, finance, construction management, or project management (internal applicants) OR 2 years of similar experience (external applicants) Desired Qualifications:

Experience with SAP Work Management, BPC, BW, P6 (Primavera), and MS Excel Knowledge of Unifier, ProjectWise, HeavyBid Competency in leadership, decision-making, and financial analysis Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills Understanding of project management methodologies and tools Experience in Project Controls, Construction Management, or Risk Management Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and forecasting practices Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or PMP Certification Willingness to travel Familiarity with SPSI reporting Additional Notes:

Hybrid Work:

Minimum 1–4 days per week in the office or job site Local Office Option:

2 out of 4 required in-office days may be completed at a closer local office Travel:

Approximately 25% (1 day/week + job site visits) Equipment:
