is seeking a

Materials Manager

to lead inventory strategy, supplier alignment, and materials flow across a growing production facility in

Fort Mill, SC . Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Director, this role is critical to supporting high-volume operations, ensuring material availability, reducing risk, and maintaining service levels above 98%. The ideal candidate has experience managing complex supply chains in electronics, automotive, or semiconductor manufacturing environments and excels at bridging daily execution with long-term planning and sustainability initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Strategy & Optimization Develop and implement inventory plans to ensure high service levels while minimizing holding costs. Leverage techniques like

ABC analysis, safety stock modeling, and AI forecasting

to maintain inventory accuracy and responsiveness. Apply Lean and Just-in-Time practices, including

FIFO, Kanban, Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) , and End-of-Life (EOL) strategies. Oversee materials across all internal and external storage locations using ERP and real-time tracking tools. SIOP / Demand Planning Partner with Sales and Operations to align forecasts, manage promotional and new product launch demands, and drive fulfillment prioritization. Facilitate Sales & Operations Planning (SIOP) activities and ensure data-driven collaboration across departments. Communicate proactively on constraints such as material shortages, lead time changes, or customs issues. Monitor and report on KPIs including inventory turns, forecast accuracy, and on-time delivery. Support sourcing and vendor negotiations with a focus on

lead time reduction, minimum order flexibility , and ethical sourcing. Identify alternate suppliers and drive risk mitigation strategies to prepare for geopolitical, tariff, or logistics disruptions. Collaborate with compliance teams to streamline import/export and customs procedures. Materials Flow & Process Optimization Use

Plan for Every Part (PFEP)

and Lean methods to reduce handling waste and improve storage and delivery efficiency. Support

automation initiatives

such as RFID tracking and automated storage systems to improve throughput and accuracy. Analyze SKU performance and storage layout for optimal flow and lowest cost-per-unit handling. Compliance & Continuous Improvement Oversee

cycle counting, audits, and inventory accuracy tracking , maintaining >98% compliance. Drive sustainability projects focused on packaging, waste reduction, and carbon tracking. Lead root cause investigations for material discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Integrated Planning Leadership Participate in long-range integrated business planning (18–60 months), aligning materials strategy with financial and capacity goals. Mentor junior planners and promote a data-centric, collaborative supply chain culture. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field. 7–10 years of experience in

materials/inventory management , with 5+ years in

electronics, automotive, or semiconductor

sectors. Expertise in ERP (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle SCM) and planning tools (e.g., Kinaxis, Blue Yonder). Proven ability to manage BOM structures, component traceability, and high-SKU environments. Strong statistical forecasting and supply planning skills. Certification in

APICS CPIM or CSCP . Preferred: MBA or master’s in supply chain or operations. Experience with

automotive-tiered supply chains, component lifecycle planning , or ERP/SIOP system implementations. Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, IPC-610) and Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt+). Salary range:
