Responsibilities The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing in overall supervision of nursing care in assisted‑living. The ADON manages departmental complexity, ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and contributes to staffing and occupancy growth plans.

Qualifications

BSN from an accredited nursing school.

A current Minnesota registered nurse license.

Five years of nursing experience, with at least two years in a leadership role.

Additional Qualifications

Master’s degree in nursing, business, or a health‑related field is preferred.

Experience in long‑term care and familiarity with Minnesota healthcare regulations.

Strong leadership and management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle complex and demanding situations.

Proficiency in staff education and scheduling.

Knowledge of quality assurance and technological support.
