Purchasing Manager
to lead strategic procurement efforts and drive operational excellence across the supply chain.
Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of the purchasing function, ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
Build and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors to support production demands and business objectives.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes to reduce risk, improve efficiency, and optimize cost.
Oversee purchasing budgets, forecasts, and spend analytics aligned with business goals.
Mitigate supply chain risks related to quality, cost, delivery, and availability.
Support international sourcing strategies and lead implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders in operations, engineering, and quality to align procurement strategy with overall business needs.
Use ERP/MRP systems to manage materials planning and procurement workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, Operations, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in procurement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience in international supply chain management and VMI programs.
APICS or similar supply chain/purchasing certification is a plus.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
