Alterations Specialists – Responsibilities

Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtually, and in person; communicate clearly and concisely; adapt style to suit customers by problem solving and resolving conflict. Use all systems to manage customer flow to deliver a five-star customer experience. Maintain service levels by being Prepared, Welcoming, meeting needs, and supporting customers with operational tasks and emotional and practical needs. Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at once and contribute to the store’s Five-Star Customer Service standard. Address customer concerns proactively with confidence; know when to escalate and partner with the leadership team. Explain how alterations can improve a dress for the event and promote alteration services and personalization options. Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization. Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience and comply with the Dress Code Policy. Escort alterations customers to and from appointments; ensure garments are altered, steamed, pressed, and inspected for quality before delivery. Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information; build long-term relationships to meet customer satisfaction and loyalty. Maintain inventory management, process special orders, and ensure first-quality standards for all merchandise. Ensure alteration pricing complies with company standards; manage all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning to company standards. Resolve customer service issues swiftly and in line with company guidelines; support all cash wrap behaviors and process transactions accurately. Keep alterations room clean and organized; perform duties assigned by store management. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of retail experience in apparel or a specialty store environment Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production Prior experience with computerized POS is a plus Part-time Benefits Include

Occasionally stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; reach for tools; climb stairs; bend, twist, and move around the store Manual dexterity for POS terminals, counting money, steaming garments, operating computers and phones Ability to sew and perform fittings to David’s Bridal standards; lift up to 10 pounds Visual acuity to read and use computers and devices for long periods Education & Credentials
