Glanbia Nutritionals is seeking a

Maintenance Supervisor

to organize the schedule and assign work on production equipment, work closely with production management and maintenance personnel to ensure the facility meets required standards, coach and develop the Maintenance Mechanics, and identify and implement process optimization projects in the safest and most environmentally friendly manner. This permanent position reports to the Senior Engineering Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities

Directs workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment including motors, pumps, conveyors, fillers, case formers, case loaders, sealers, coders, palletizers and other packing and processing equipment. Maintain and service plant equipment and facilities. Create, improve, manage, and expand preventative maintenance programs for plant equipment and facilities. Model Glanbia values, policies and procedures. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Develop solutions to plant related problems. Conduct audits to ensure employees are performing tasks according to SOP. Provide performance coaching to the Maintenance Mechanics. Maintain records, files, instruction manuals, and necessary parts and supplies for all plant equipment. Responsible for work order disbursement and completion and for creating, modifying, deleting, and managing work orders in the SAP system. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders applicable to actions and conduct under OSHA. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance related field preferred. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and delegate assignments to others. Proficient with personal computer skills including email, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, etc. Comply with safety policies, practices and procedures; report unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins and fine chemicals in powder and liquid form as well as allergen products. Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written). Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint; strong SAP knowledge preferred. Location
