Position Description The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Lead is responsible for driving technical readiness and manufacturing scalability across new plant launches. As a workstream lead within the Program Management Office (PMO), this role will be deployed to startup sites to ensure that manufacturing processes, equipment, and layouts meet program requirements and operational standards. The AME Lead will collaborate closely with Program and Project Managers to integrate advanced manufacturing solutions into launch plans. This role requires a technically skilled leader with experience in process engineering, automation, and plant layout optimization, and the ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the AME workstream lead on cross-functional programs and projects, representing manufacturing engineering in PMO planning and execution.

Deploy to plant sites to support equipment installation, process validation, and layout optimization.

Partner with PMO teams to ensure manufacturing engineering deliverables are aligned with program timelines and launch goals.

Lead efforts to integrate automation, digital tools, and advanced technologies into new manufacturing lines.

Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability of new products.

Support the development of standard work, process documentation, and training materials.

Identify and resolve technical issues during launch phases, escalating risks as needed.

Provide feedback to the Manufacturing Excellence Director and PMO leadership on technical readiness and improvement opportunities.

Required Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, or plant launch support.

Proven experience in equipment commissioning, process validation, and layout design.

Strong understanding of automation, digital manufacturing tools, and lean principles.

Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Ability to travel to plant sites as needed to support program deployment.

Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience with CAD, MES, or other manufacturing systems preferred.
