As an
Electrical Power Generation Engineer , you will have the opportunity to: Develop electrical drawing deliverables including one-line and three-line diagrams, electrical motor schematics, breaker control schematics, wiring diagrams, power cable sizing, and cable schedules; perform complex engineering calculations (load flow, short circuit, motor starting with ETAP or SKM, arc flash analysis with ETAP or SKM, protective relay settings, battery and charger sizing). Develop electrical equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement and construction. Attend meetings, investigate existing conditions, interface with clients, and provide support during construction. Extensively use Microsoft Office (ProjectWise), electrical engineering software (ETAP), and CAD tools (AutoCAD) to view and manipulate engineering drawing files. Continuously learn and stay current on departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes, and B&V policies; apply to assigned tasks as appropriate. Develop and independently apply knowledge; comply with B&V quality program; support continuous improvement and change management. Prepare a variety of increasingly complex engineering deliverables; conduct research; make recommendations for equipment/material selection; collect, assimilate, and manage data; perform calculations; adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements; may provide direction to others. Assign tasks to entry-level professionals and interns; coordinate with project leadership and other team members on less complex projects; interact with other disciplines as needed. Understand external client interests and drivers; focus on internal client and project leadership needs; may support business development or pursuit activities. Share current knowledge of the latest technology and processes; as skills develop, assist with performance management and mentoring of entry-level staff. Preferred Qualifications
Active Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification; pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) License. Engineering consulting design experience in LV/MV Conventional Power Generation (e.g., combined cycle, simple cycle plants). Familiarity with NEC and IEEE/ANSI standards. Experience with electrical equipment including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, panels, breakers, protective relays, inverters, batteries, battery chargers, disconnects, surge arrestors, MV/LV cabling, control cable, and fiber optic cable. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program. Minimum of 1 year related work experience. Work Environment and Benefits
