RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) interrogations and arrhythmia interpretation of ECG and measured data. Evaluate arrhythmia burden and interpret diagnostics, including programming of cardiac devices, reporting findings to an EP provider. Manage patient diagnostics on manufacturer remote monitoring websites, analyze and manage transmissions, and enter data in the electronic medical record (EMR). Maintain data integrity with the system and exercise judgment to direct to EP providers when appropriate. Provide support for CIED management under the direction of supervising EP provider, Lead Cardiac Device Specialist, and/or EP Manager. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum education: Certificate of completion from an approved cardiac device technical school covering cardiac pacing, defibrillation, cardiac resynchronization therapy, and electrophysiology OR a minimum of two years of experience in cardiac pacing or electrophysiology in the ambulatory setting may substitute for formal training. Minimum experience: One (1) year of EP clinical experience as a Cardiac Device Specialist. Licensure/Certification required by law: None. Additional preferred qualifications: Certified Clinical Device Specialist (CCDS) through Heart Rhythm Society within 24 months of hire; Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) by International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE); Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES).
