The Facility is Veterans Square Clinic, located in Fargo, ND. The Shift is 8 Hours - Day Shifts, and the Job Schedule is Full time. We are looking for an advanced practice provider to join our pediatric nephrology department. Our team consists of a board certified pediatric nephrologist, nursing, social work, and close collaboration with our dialysis teams. Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides service to patients in designated care settings by assisting physicians, assessing patients, and treating injuries and ailments. Obtains a thorough medical history from patient and performs an examination and/or assessment to determine patient's needs. Responsibilities Provides service to patients by assisting physicians, assessing patients, and treating patients. Works in collaboration with providers and independently to provide care. Formulates a plan for treatment of the patient and prescribes medications based on efficacy, safety, and cost as legally authorized if necessary. Maintain complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses in a timely manner. Qualifications Completion of a master’s, postmaster’s, or doctorate from an nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Licensing prior to August 1, 1995, master's degree in nursing is preferred. Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing for advanced practice. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances.
