(certificated salary schedule). At least eight (8) years of service credit will be awarded for initial placement. 183 day calendar Master's and Doctoral supplements of $2,797.00 Exceptional benefits packages to all employees serving at 50% time .

Staff have the choice of many HMO/PPO medical plans including several that require no employee contribution for full family coverage. CUHSD contribution of up to $1,404.35 - $3,413.63 monthly ($15,447.85 - $37,549.93 annually) for full-time employees' medical, dental and vision. Contribution levels vary by full-time equivalent status. One-time Bilingual (Spanish) signing incentive of up to $2,000 for new hires

[determined via online testing]. One-time student loan repayment assistance incentive of up to $1,000.00 upon providing documentation of a positive student loan balance.

This incentive is available for the first 20 eligible new hires. We pay for the induction program fees

for all teachers who need to clear their credential (not to include any credentialing fees). We honor up to 13 years of verified certificated teaching experience

toward salary placement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and/or implement health needs of students. Supervise and/or implement state and federal health and safety codes. Supervise and/or implement health components of special education, federal and state regulations. Serve as resource person for administration and staff regarding development and implementation of a health curriculum. Coordinate and supervise health clerks and other health services staff. Meet with administrative staff to determine health needs of District. Plan and direct the mandated screening procedures for vision and hearing. Supervise student health appraisal and recording. Assess and evaluate the total health and developmental status of each pupil when appropriate. Confer with family medical advisors as necessary; interpret medical reports, recommendations, and instructions to students, parents and staff. Aid in prevention and control of communicable disease. Provide emergency care. Supervise personnel who administer medication to students under a doctor’s prescription. Facilitate wellness program for district. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Credential and/or License: Appropriate California Services Credential with a Specialization in Health or other California credential allowing for specialization in Health Services; appropriate California Registered Nurse License, Public Health Nurse Certificate, California Audiometrist Certificate. Experience in public education or public nursing programs preferred. Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of current Federal and State codes relating to health services. Ability to communicate clearly and to gain and maintain rapport with staff. Knowledge of supervising a district program.
