Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine Open to Residents and Fellows Open to Visa Candidates Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH)* Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology Active unencumbered New York state medical license Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program One year of work experience as Emergency Medicine Physician One year of EMR experience COVID vaccine with 2 shots & booster Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required : Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills Participates in relevant continuing education programs Commitment to the highest patient care and service excellence Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving Team-oriented with ability to work independently and collaborate with physicians, managers and staff Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational skills, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks Responsibilities
ED Volume: 47,000 annual visits EMR: Epic Facility: New, modern ED opened in 2017 Radiology suite located within the ED 24/7 Interventional Cath Lab Hospitalist team handles admissions Cross-credentialing available at Albany Memorial and St. Peter's Providers not responsible for floor codes 1.5-2% transfer rate Portable ultrasound machines available for providers Dedicated STEMI & Primary Stroke Center J-1 Visa Sponsorship Available Benefits
