Job Summary The incumbent uses an array of professional pharmacy skills to provide leadership in medication‑related patient care. The goal is to ensure drug use is safe, effective, and cost‑effective, and to promote pharmacy as an essential component of the health care team.

Key Responsibilities

Dispense the correct medication to the correct patient at the appropriate time to provide a superior standard of professional care.

Supervise the work activities of pharmacy support personnel to ensure coordinated and efficient pharmaceutical services.

Act as a pharmaceutical expert and resource person to promote safe, appropriate, and cost‑effective drug utilization.

Maintain an adequate inventory of pharmaceutical supplies to ensure optimal patient care.

Communicate a comprehensive, up‑to‑date knowledge of pharmacy and hospital policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with quality assurance and improvement standards established by internal and external regulatory bodies.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and all current state and federal pharmacy laws.

Handle safe disposal and packaging for transport of hazardous materials and regulated medical waste.

Qualifications

Graduate of Pharmacy School.

Licensed pharmacist (PHARM:KY).

Experience as a hospital or retail pharmacist.

Pay & Benefits Pay range $52.02 - $77.38 /hour Student Loan Payback up to $24,000 for Eligible Hires
