Details Posted : September 27, 2025 Location : Apopka, Florida Schedule : PRN / Days Location : 2100 OCOEE APOPKA ROAD, Apopka, 32703 The community you'll be caring for : AdventHealth Apopka AdventHealth Apopka is a seven-story, 120-bed hospital offering an extensive range of services including expanded surgical services, advanced surgical suites and a catheterization lab The hospital features a 30,000-square-foot emergency department with pediatric-friendly beds, imaging services, a full-service cafeteria, chapel, gift shop and on-site fire station The hospital opened in December 2017, replacing the 50-bed hospital that AdventHealth had operated in downtown Apopka for more than four decades The role you'll contribute The MRI technologist is under the general supervision of the lead technologist, supervisor, manager, director of special imaging, and radiologist. Primary duties include imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines of FH parameters, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system up to date with exam progress. The MRI technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all. Performs all MRI exams using FH MRI protocols. Uses FH policy for patient identification prior to exam. Educates patient about the exam. (Exam supervision and Administration) Completes MRI exams in a timely manner, keeps workflow moving and minimizes empty table time. Communicates, transports and discharges outpatient exams as needed. (Personal Productivity and Accountability) Operates all equipment safely and properly including scanners, injectors and monitors. Performs scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary. (Clinical Competence) Properly screens each patient, visitor, and employee for contraindications to entering the MRI facility. Keeps room stocked, organized and clean. Performs QA on magnets within ACR guidelines. May include transport of pharmaceutical waste with proper training and PPE. (Safety and the Environment of Care) Reviews all images of MRI exams, repeats sequences as necessary for best results. (Image Quality and Documentation) Uses computer system for ordering, changing and canceling exams according to protocol. Confirms order matches exam before pushing to PACS or fixes exams on QC or PACS. (Data Processing) Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed Required Associate or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field Prior CT Experience Completion of an ARMRIT Accredited MRI Program ARDMS (MR) OR ARRT ARMRIT - Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist - OR - MR ARDMS - Magnetic Resonance Basic Life Support (BLS) certification This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws.
