We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced, per diem, certified neonatal nurse practitioner in a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery at
CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont , scheduled to open late 2024. About the Practice This Level 1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year. An average daily census of about 5 newborns. NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested, and taking call from home. Practitioners will also stabilize, manage, and facilitate transport of newborns to NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for higher-level care. The Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs, with the sister LEVEL III NICU staffed by 2 neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs at
CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Gastonia , only 7 miles away. Opportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the Level III NICU in Gastonia may be available but are not required, as this position is for the Level 1 nursery. * Must have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing. * National Nursing Certification required. * NC license required. * Certified NNP with recent experience required.
