JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Social, Life, & Engineering Sciences Imaging Center (SLEIC;

www.imaging.psu.edu ) at Penn State University has an opening for a part-time (up to 20 hours per week) MRI technologist for evening and weekend imaging. The imaging center contributes to Penn State's thriving research environment by providing state-of-the art brain imaging and data analysis facilities. This position requires a motivated, independent, well-organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to those with experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging including high-field scanning and/or familiarity with MRI in a research-oriented facility. All candidates for this position must be registered as an RT/MRI Technologist with MRI certification. Responsibilities

Scan adult and pediatric research participants using a broad range of established and new imaging methods. Ensure participant safety during imaging procedures. Collaborate on the development of imaging protocols and troubleshoot/implement changes to existing protocols with investigators. Conduct safety training and perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications

Must be registered as an RT/MRI Technologist with MRI certification. Preference given to candidates with experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, including high-field scanning and/or experience in a research-oriented facility.
