Job Summary:

Perform the described duties in the primary work area and demonstrate competency in the following:

Performs all radiographic procedures as written in Policy and Procedure Manual. Notifies department director of equipment/machine malfunction. Follows policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for Radiology Tech according to accepted standards. Adheres to Policies and Procedures as defined by Infection Control. Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge of all radiographic procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of reporting system of radiology findings to physician. Serves as a resource to other members of the health care team. Acts in accordance with the vision, mission, and business philosophy of the Center. Maintains patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy. Follows the Center's professional conduct and dress code policy. Communicates effectively and courteously with visitors, physicians, patients and employees. Assists with other responsibilities of Center as deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications:

High school graduate or GED. Graduate of an approved school of radiology technician. Currently certified in the state. BLS certification. One year experience required. Familiar with medical terminology

Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology. ARRT Registered and CPR Current. Must have a current New Mexico state license (MRT). One-year hospital experience required (3+ years preferred). Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations Must be a High School Graduate or Equivalent
