As a Senior Civil Engineer at Houston Engineering, Inc. (HEI), you will help define the character of cities and neighborhoods through private and public urban projects. You will be involved in go/no-go decision making, developing current client relationships, securing new work, mentoring, and leading project teams. Job Responsibilities Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, or market demand. Prepare engineering documents, including design reports, cost estimates, and project schedules, in accordance with current codes. Manage budgets and schedules to ensure timely project completion. Participate in client meetings, pre-project presentations, and preconstruction meetings. Lead and mentor civil engineers and project team members. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering, Bioproducts and Biosystem Engineering, or related field. Professional Engineer license in NE or ability to obtain within six months. 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably recent experience in NE. Knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Experience with project management and budgeting. Ability to supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented approach. Ability to manage multiple projects and clients effectively. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Note: Visa sponsorship is not available.
