Job Description:

Under direction of the Chief Engineer of the Innovation Center, the Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing projects and producing technical results to advance the development, implementation, and/or commercialization of new products and processes. Qualifications: Will hold a B.S. and/or M.S. in Engineering or related field from a recognized, fully accredited program, ideally paired with experience in hydraulics and fluid control. Ideally will have 10+ years of experience related to NPD or R&D. Must have a deep desire to learn, a solid understanding of engineering principles, and a passion for designing creative solutions to challenging problems Advanced 3D CAD and PDM user, preference for SolidWorks experience. Experience with R&D prototype and testing lab environment. Ability to travel to support innovation initiatives and collaboration. Comfortable with the uncertainty of Innovation Local candidates preferred Responsibilities

Independently applies a high degree of creative ability, engineering skill, and judgment in applying engineering principles in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, gas dynamics, mechanics, and thermodynamics to the design, development, qualification, and production of micro-fluidic and hydraulic components. Initiates the design, development, execution and implementation of technology research projects. Applies research theories, principles, and models when conducting experiments and research activities. Summarizes research results and communicates findings to internal and external bodies Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures projects are on time and within budget. Develops technical documentations for all projects. Monitors industry and technology trends and attends key industry trade events. Evaluates customer and market needs to develop innovative products and solutions. Collaborates with different business groups and provides technical support for process scale-up, commercial design, and business development Communicates with Innovation Center Director, Chief Engineers and Project Engineers to develop and execute on project plans to ensure successful hand-off from the Innovation Center The Lee Company advantages
