Summary Lincoln Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Plant Engineering team, responsible for implementing capital projects and supporting manufacturing equipment in Cleveland Operations. The role involves designing electrical systems for welding and consumables equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Design and support industrial electrical systems for manufacturing equipment.
Improve equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with standards like ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Support production, maintenance, and IT departments to enhance system performance.
Develop and update PLC, VFD, and HMI programs using Rockwell, Siemens, and Beijer platforms.
Maintain LabVIEW code for testing applications.
Collaborate with various teams on facility projects.
Apply NEC standards for equipment installation and update electrical documentation.
Provide cost estimates and review quotations for capital projects.
Lead projects, solve complex problems, and mentor colleagues.
Manage outside engineering and construction personnel ensuring safety and compliance.
Integrate equipment into data collection and network systems.
Support network management and system asset inventory.
Develop standards for control hardware and software.
Contribute to Lincoln Electric’s 2025 strategic goals.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Level II: 3+ years, Level III: 5+ years, Level IV: 8+ years of experience.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and LabVIEW.
Knowledge of NFPA codes and basic networking/SQL.
Skills
Initiative, ownership, and results-driven mindset.
Strong judgment, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to handle diverse tasks and work effectively on the shop floor.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work off-shifts and travel as needed.
