A well-established dairy manufacturer is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily operations in fluid milk processing. This role is critical to ensuring high standards in pasteurization, packaging, sanitation and overall production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production activities including pasteurization, homogenization, bottling, and packaging of fluid milk products.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation protocols, and internal quality standards.
Manage and optimize clean-in-place (CIP) systems to maintain hygienic processing environments.
Lead and develop production teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all production processes.
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
Support new product introductions and process changes through cross-functional collaboration.
Maintain accurate production records and ensure traceability in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in dairy manufacturing, with a focus on fluid milk processing.
Strong knowledge of pasteurization, packaging operations, and sanitation protocols.
Proven leadership experience in a production or plant management role.
Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, FDA, and USDA regulations.
Experience managing CIP systems and understanding of microbiological controls.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
